Featured horse - Bliss

This is Bliss and I'm never quite sure of her age! Her passport says one thing and her teeth say another, but we think she's about 18 now.

She's had asthma for two years, controlled beautifully thanks to some excellent veterinary care. I could never have organised her nebuliser through the insurance on my own, but Imogen talked me through every step and even came out when it arrived to make sure I understood exactly how it worked. (She didn't so much as laugh when I couldn't get the box open!)

I've had Bliss for 14 years and she makes me so proud. She's never been a "novice" ride, yet she understands every word I say, forgives all my mistakes, and genuinely loves the time we spend together.

She's had quite the career, too. About 12 years ago she appeared at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley promoting Annie Get Your Gun  and even joined in the line dancing, though rather less elegantly when she backed up and had a wee on the bench! A year or so earlier she'd done background jumping for a Sky Sports dressage feature. I couldn't be prouder of her.
